Questions about Cache in Spring Modules

Hi, I have some questions about the cache capabilities of Spring Modules:
¿Can I run it in Spring 1.2.7 with Java 1.4?
¿How stable is caching in 0.3 release?
¿What cache scope does it support? (session, application, server, cluster), ¿Can I have a cache instance shared across multiples JVMs?
