refreshing page using controller to same page

hi
all i am using a multiaction controller... on a jsp i open a popup window that get some data from database using controller.... i used <a> tag to link the rows to send the data to the parent page.. i also send to controller and page for multiaction controller to show that pages....

problem is that data comes to, controller is called but the page is not refreshed to show the data as it is placed in session.. i have to manualy refresh the parent page....

any one have any idea about it????
