CustomTag with XSTLView

Hello everyone.

I'm newbie to spring framework but I have already made some stuff by now. I'm developing an application that uses a XSLT View and it is working fine.

But now I'm facing a architecture problem that I don't know how to solve and I hope that someone here in the forum can help.

But I need to place some custom tags in the XSLT style sheet i.e. a custom tag that generates a navigation menu in html. The problem seems that the custom tag cannot be processed successfully.

Soo..there is any way to apply and process the custom tags inside the XSLT style sheet?

Any tips, solutions, work around?

XSLT is not a template language as JSP or Velocity. That's why talking about custom tags sounds very strange to my ears. Searching for "extension functions" should reveal more links in this context.
